Tesla Model X updated with new interior, gaining the yoke-style wheel

Turns out that not only the Tesla Model S gets a new interior. Tesla applied the same interior design – control stick and all – to the Model X. We reported yesterday on the announcement of a Model X Plaid with 1,020 horsepower (and 2.5 seconds of 0-60 mph time), but a closer inspection of the Model X online configurator reveals the new interior.

It’s essentially a copy of what you’ll find in the updated Model S. There’s a 17-inch center screen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 8-inch screen for those in the back seat. The yoke’s super weird “steering wheel” is exactly the same as in the Model S. It has what looks like capacitive touch controls for turn signals and two scroll wheels similar to the ones on the Model 3 or Model Y. We think Cyberpunk will. playable on the updated Model X, as Elon Musk claimed that the Model S (with equivalent equipment) is capable of running the game.

If you choose the Plaid, you will get a “carbon fiber decor” covering. And if you hold onto the standard Long Range model, it comes with ‘wood decor’ finish. Three interior colors are available: black, cream and black two-tone and black and white two-tone.

Like the Model S, the Model X’s exterior also gets the fewest updates. The front and back have been adjusted, but you will have to look closely to notice much difference.

Elon Musk tweeted last night that Model S Plaid shipments would begin next month. Anyone who wants to buy a Model X with the new interior will have to wait until April, according to the configurator’s current expected delivery. Both the Long Range and Plaid models have the same April forecast for first deliveries to customers. The Performance model is no longer there.

The price of the Plaid is a whopping $ 119,990, and the Long Range will set you back $ 89,990.
