Our latest teaser of the Cadillac Celestiq is here, and this time we get to see a little more of the beautiful and expensive Caddy.
The main photo of interest is the first in the gallery above which reveals the rear and part of the side of the Celestiq. Dramatic lighting comes from both the top and bottom, as Cadillac integrates lighting in places you wouldn’t normally see on a car. For example, LED light protrudes from the underside of the rear bumper, exactly from the rearmost point of the wheel arch. Next, the fanlight extends deep into the side of the car, similar to what we’ve seen on the Cadillac Lyriq. The sloping roofline is beautiful, and of course the centerpiece at the rear is a glowing Cadillac decal.
We’ve already seen a photo of the steering wheel, but this new shot allows for a much clearer view of the steering wheel and a cursory look at the grille and front lighting. The front lighting scheme seems to mirror the Lyriq with its grille full of LEDs and a vertical daytime running light signature. If we zoom in on the wheel photo, we can read the tire size on the sidewall (285/35R23). It has a Michelin Pilot Sport EV tire with a width of 285 sections and this large tire encases an intricately designed 23-inch wheel.
Inside, the Celestiq has a two-seat rear configuration with a full center console with center controls. The starlights on the door panel are beautiful to look at, and so is the red leather. The last photo of the interior we need to look at is of the boot, and it shows the sheer amount of screen real estate Cadillac is pumping into the Celstiq. The rear passengers get their own headrest-mounted screens in addition to a central control screen in between. But from the front it looks like the whole dashboard is a screen. We can’t see everything, but it seems that this screen can stretch from one pillar to another.
The screens themselves have a few details hidden in them. For example, the small screen in the center console between the driver and passenger has a fingerprint scanner on the display that reads ‘profile synchronization’. Let’s just assume the Celestiq has a fingerprint reader for loading your particular drive profile. And finally, the large screen shows an 80% battery charge with 10 minutes left for a full charge. That would require some extra fast charging to get to 100% so quickly, as cars typically drop their charging speeds drastically when they are nearly fully charged.
Cadillac says the Celestiq will be fully unveiled on July 22, so expect to see the full car with all the details soon.
