2021 Kia Sorento gets off-road upgrades for SEMA

Posted on

SEMA may not be happening the same way this year, but carmakers are still showing off custom creations that would have been on the show. Among them are these 2021 Kia Sorento crossovers. They have received some off-road orientated upgrades and are named after national parks.

The green example is the Sorento Yosemite and the brown one is the Sorento Zion. They’re both built by LGE-CTE Motorsports and have a pretty similar selection of upgrades. Each has 20-inch wheels wrapped in 32-inch all-terrain tires, as well as custom fender flares to accommodate the extra rubber. Skid plates have also been added for times when the 8.3 inch ground clearance is not sufficient.

Where the crossovers differ is the roof trim. The Sorento Yosemite has a custom roof rack. In the front edge of that roof rack is a quartet of off-road lighting. As for the Sorento Zion, it has a custom roof box. And unlike most aftermarket roof boxes, this one has a very low profile and ties in with the factory roof lines, so it looks like the Sorento just has a high roof. However, these parts are all custom parts, so don’t expect to pick them up from your local Kia dealer.
