2018 Audi RS3, TT RS tune keeps warranty, adds 60 horsepower

The Audi RS3 and TT RS are popular with the Autoblog office, not least thanks to their 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged engines. They sound amazing, and the 400 hp, each of which turns a belt, turns them into terribly fast little machines. Of course that is still not enough for some people, even in such small cars. That is where APR goes, an American tuning company that specializes in Volkswagen and Audi products. The company has just released some standard tune for both the RS3 and the TT RS, and although they do not make the car as fast as that Dodge Demon rival RS3 that we have discussed recently, they are still impressive.

The basic level melody is known as the APR Plus melody set for 91-octane fuel. Although the least powerful option is available, he still adds an impressive 59 hp and 97-pound torque to factory numbers for a total of 459 and 451 respectively. That is a big profit. And even better: the APR Plus number includes a warranty on the entire stock machine and powertrain for the rest of the original factory drive warranty. The cost for all of this is $ 1,899.99.

The other option is the APR Stage 1 tuning. This does not come with a warranty, but it has other benefits. First of all it costs only $ 999.99. So if you do not feel that a guarantee is required, you can get the same performance for almost half of the price as the APR Plus. The Stage 1 melody can also be ordered with calibrations for fuels with a higher octane content and thus can deliver more power.

If you are lucky enough to live where you can get 93-octane fuel, the tune Audi can bring up to 476 hp and 470 pound-feet of torque. For maximum power there is an E85 version. This allows an RS3 or TT RS to produce a stunning 542 horsepower and 500 pound-foot torque. It is worth noting that this tune is only for E85, and does not automatically switch to a less aggressive tune if you decide to refuel with conventional petrol instead. APR does offer a program changer for $ 149.99 with which you can cycle through various tunes manually.
