Street takeover ends in disaster after C5 Corvette drives into Ford Mustang

A Ford Mustang was left badly damaged after a crash during a US street takeover, but surprisingly the driver of the pony car was not to blame.

A YouTube Shorts video captured the moment of the crash. It initially shows a dark gray Mustang driving in the middle of an intersection as part of the takeover. Moments later, a silver Chevrolet Corvette of the C5 generation comes into view, driving directly in front of the Mustang.

Fueled by adrenaline, the sideshow participants thought it would be a smart idea to drift and do donuts with several cars at the same time at the big intersection. However, the driver of the Corvette was clearly a little too eager to kick out the tail of the sports car and was driving way too fast to avoid contact with the Mustang.

While we said it wasn’t the Mustang driver’s fault, that’s not 100 percent true. The driver of the Ford, of course, has to take some of the blame by simply participating in the takeover and putting himself in such a stupid position, in the opposite direction to some of the other vehicles, including a silver Mustang.

Although the video only briefly shows the immediate aftermath of the crash, we can see that the front of the Mustang was badly damaged by the impact. As for the Corvette, the driver’s side took a big hit and will have to undergo some expensive repairs. What is even more concerning is the fact that someone was hanging out of the ‘Vette’ window at the time of the collision. Hopefully no one was injured in this accident.
