Lamborghini considers its rear-wheel drive Huracán Evo a masterpiece. The German tuner Novitec sees it as a blank canvas. It announced an arsenal of interior, exterior and chassis parts specially developed for the model.
Novitec is not intimidated by the rear-wheel drive coupe of the Raging Bull. It has tuned a long list of exotic cars, including the McLaren Senna and Ferrari’s limited edition SP1 and SP2 models. The updates normally tilt to the subtle side of the scale (we recommend calling Mansory if you’re looking for pure extravagance), and his Huracán is no exception. It looks tamer than the factory-built racecar-inspired STO model introduced in November 2020.
Carbon fiber add-ons give the coupé a more muscular look, and Novitec claims they improve the aerodynamic profile as well. Side skirts lower the Huracán’s ground clearance, while more cooling air is directed to the rear brakes, for example. At the rear, a redesigned wing extension puts more downforce on the rear axle than the factory unit.
Not all updates are cosmetic. Novitec offers a set of lowered sports springs specially developed for the rear-wheel drive version of the Huracán (which has a lighter front end than the four-wheel drive models). Alternatively, it has joined forces with KW to design an aluminum coilover suspension system built with racing technology. Users who choose this option can choose from 13 compression and rebound profiles in the low and high speed range.
Novitec hasn’t changed the Huracán’s naturally aspirated, 5.2-liter V10 engine, which produces 610 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque. However, the parts catalog includes a high-performance exhaust system available in stainless steel or Inconel, a lighter material commonly found in Formula 1 cars. Both can be plated in .999 gold for better heat dissipation. There are also several exhaust tips (including some made of carbon) on the menu.
Emblems, wheel spacers and what Novitec calls a virtually limitless range of trim colors and materials round out the list of customization options available. The price largely depends on the size of the requested changes.
