The Tesla Model S shooting brake conversion designed by Niels van Roij from London will be released next month at the stand of the design house at the Geneva Motor Show.

In an e-mail, Van Roij tells Autoblog that RemetzCar, the Dutch coach builder who carried out the conversion and was planning to build 20 examples, has closed his doors. "However," he says, "this does not mean that the only model is built as a coach, our company has a portfolio of bodybuilders who are able to build the car."

The customizer made new aluminum body parts for extended hips, a new C-pillar, a new roof and a new tailgate with an integrated spoiler, using Roij & # 39; s design. The high shoulders of the Model S have been retained, but van Roij has cleverly used chrome to stretch along the rear side windows to increase the visual length and reduce the visual mass. The Niels van Roij Design badges on the ventilation glass are all made by hand, which means that they are slightly different from each other, and the seat and glove box wears the same handsome metallic green as the exterior and contrasts with the beige interior .
Still not a word about whether this model is still offered for sale, and if so, to what extent it brings you back. In comparison, British personalizer Qwest Norfolk unveiled its own Model S shooting model last year, starting at $ 84,000, excluding the purchase of a Model S itself. Also complicating is the fact that the vehicle has a RemetzCar badge on the front and the tailgate.
In the meantime, van Roij says that the studio is currently working hard on her next project, the Breadvan Hommage race car, inspired by the one-off 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB, also on behalf of a private individual. The design house offers weekly updates on that project on its website.
