Land Rover eventually stopped making the Defender a few years ago. But only because it is no longer made does not mean that people do not want them anymore. In fact, Twisted Automotive, the British modifier of Defenders, bought 240 of them at the end of their production run and subsequently disposed of them for a project in the future.
Twisted is now back with the last 80 examples and has just revealed what it intends to do with it. Forty-four new Defenders will be given to the division of the company called "Remake History." The concept is as straightforward as it sounds. Twisted makes 44 of the Defenders again to pay tribute to the history of the original Land Rover. The production of these vehicles is planned early next year.
The last 36 defenders are given to another branch of the small company called & # 39; Make History & # 39 ;. The emphasis on these builds will be on creating tailor-made vehicles that think more forward, instead of trying to redo what has already been done. Twisted is only planning to sell these 36 Defenders to its existing customers, so do not expect to get one unless you already have a Twisted Defender. Since many of these vehicles will be unique builds, details on features and prices are not available for the last 80 original Defenders.
If you are not interested in the old, Land Rover eventually also comes with the new Defender. Prototype images of the boxy SUV were released last month, giving fans a taste of what was to come.
