Unlike the Ford F-150, the Ford Ranger cannot be ordered here in Raptor form, so enthusiasts do what enthusiasts always do: build their own. Spotted by Muscle Cars and Trucks, a Kansas dealer has created the "Baja" off-road package that adds tons of rough parts and makes the vehicle a Raptor look-alike.
Dealers are known to make all kinds of adjustments to meet the wishes and needs of their customers. We recently saw a modified Buick Enclave Woody and a Jeep Gladiator Honcho Edition. But the mission of Long McArthur Ford with the Ranger Baja is less about nostalgia and more about modern style and functionality.
Long McArthur, located in downtown Kansas, has previously built off-road packages for its other F-series vehicles. But this Baja package is completely new and the dealer is planning to have a total of six vehicles. All these vehicles are built on the Ranger XLT SuperCrew 4×4 with the 302A equipment group, which adds the eight-way drive and passenger-heated seats, a manual sliding rear window, external start and the sports appearance package. These trucks also start with the FX4 off-road package.
Moreover, the Baja package adds a large number of visual and performance upgrades. The Baja has improved a Pro-Comp two-inch front suspension, a rear shock absorber upgrade, 18-inch Fuel Tactic off-road wheels, 33-inch Toyo all-terrain tires and a Ford Performance off-road truck. kit. A new Raptor-like grille, painted fender flanges, a chase window in an addictive desert design, black Ford OEM footboards and a black Baja outlet all add a stylistic flair. "Ranger Baja" lace, bonnet and tailgate graphics complete the look.
Two Bajas are currently available on the McArthur website: an example from Oxford White and a Lightning Blue Metallic example. The Baja package, which comes with a three-year / 36,000-mile warranty, costs $ 10,095, making this truck cost around $ 50,000. The blue truck is slightly more expensive because it also has a $ 595 MagnaFlow exhaust.
If you are interested, we recommend that you call immediately as they will no doubt be sold out. Or do what the people of a car do and build one yourself with the McArthur blueprint.
