The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible isn’t a car in dire need of updating, but that doesn’t stop SlyStyle from doing so.

The German tuner recently completed work on a host of upgrades to the mid-engine sports car that refine the look while adding a little extra performance. These changes start at the front, where the Corvette features a sharp new splitter with a gloss black finish that complements the car’s aggressive shape.

Elsewhere, SlyStyle has outfitted the ‘Vette’s bumper with small aerodynamic canards, while a set of new side skirts with pronounced fins also look good. A new rear wing and rear diffuser have also been designed for the Corvette and, more importantly for German customers, all parts are TÜV certified.

These parts don’t just add to the Chevy’s appearance. SlyStyle notes that the new front splitter generates a whopping 50kg (110lbs) of downforce, while the rear wing mounts add an additional 80kg (176lbs) of downforce.

There’s also a set of one-piece satin black wheels bolted on, measuring 20×9 at the front axle and 21×11.5 at the rear, wrapped in 255/30 and 325/25 tires respectively. SlyStyle has also developed lowering collars for vehicles fitted with the factory front linkage system, which lowers the ride height at both the front and rear by 20 mm (0.7 in).

Some minor performance improvements have also been made, including the installation of a new K&N high-flow air filter, modified intake and exhaust ports, an oil sump and a Grail exhaust system with four 114mm tailpipes. SlyStyle didn’t say how much extra horsepower and torque his car has, but says it’s half a second faster in the 100-200 km/h (62-124 mph) sprint than the stock car. The tuner has confirmed that it is also in the process of unlocking the Corvette’s ECU to make further performance upgrades.
