There is a new Brabus G-Wagon in the city. This is called the 700 4×4 Squared, and it is just as extravagant as you thought it could be. The "700" stands for 700 hp from the old G63's 5.5-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Along with 708 pound-feet of torque, this behemoth of a vehicle somehow gets to 62 mph in just 5.0 seconds. We imagine that doing a few times would be enough to frighten most. Trying to reach the electronically limited 130 mph top speed sounds just as frightening.
Unfortunately, this Brabus is based on the old G-Wagon, not the completely redesigned off-roader that was released earlier this year. Nevertheless, the feature set is simply impressive. The gantry axes of the G500 4×4 Squared were dislodged from the parts shelf for maximum articulation and ground clearance. With individually adjustable struts you can select your ride height on every corner of the interior. It will go all the way up to almost a meter of ground clearance. Wow. Skid plates are added all around for heavy off-road driving. Brabus 22-inch wheels are fitted with Pirelli Scorpion ATR off-road tires and are also surrounded by new carbon mudguards.
Extra power is achieved with larger turbochargers, Brabus inlet, high-flow cats and a Brabus stainless steel exhaust. Fuel savings dip all down to 12 mpg in the city and 20 mpg on the highway. You will find pieces on the whole vehicle from Brabus in the appearance department, from a roof spoiler to unique LED DRLs. The pricing goes the opposite way as fuel consumption does. One could pick up the Brabus 700 4×4 Squared for just under $ 238,000, converted from euros. The only problem you encounter is availability. Brabus builds only 10 of these things, which is understandable given the likely demand for such a beast.
