One element of the 2022 Ford Bronco Raptor that didn’t get much attention on its debut is the new 12-inch digital gauge cluster. While we wait for the opportunity to climb into the driver’s seat of the Raptor, Ford offers a more detailed look at the new display that replaces the standard Bronco’s analog/digital cluster.
You can see images of the different layouts and views of the driving mode in the gallery above. Many of those photos speak for themselves, but Ford also provided some more background to chew on.
The first screen Ford brings up is a new ‘Performance View’ which you will see on the first slide. This places the tachometer right in the middle with a red line at your 12 o’clock position, along with a super easy-to-read gear status and digital speedometer. To the left of this are all of your engine’s vitals, and to the right you’ll see a vehicle avatar to keep you updated on tire pressure, sway bar connection status, and more.
When you switch driving modes, the digital cluster plays animations that Ford says were put together with the help of video game developers — they should be fun to watch. Each aims to “capture the specific performance and personality of the environment through the use of color, speed and even camera angle.”

Normal: The digital cluster screen uses a subtle blue to represent the vehicle in an everyday driving scenario.
Sport: Experience a more exciting driving experience, where the cluster uses a red and white theme to show the vehicle in a track environment.
Tow/Haul: To emphasize the increased 4,500-pound towing capacity, the cluster display features a vehicle towing a trailer, with the gauges turning yellow as a subtle nod to construction vehicles at work.
Smooth: Optimized for use on slippery roads or loose surfaces such as gravel, this mode is replicated on screen with light blue to represent a vehicle in rainy conditions.
Off-Road: An animation of an off-road environment in shades of brown to illustrate that Bronco Raptor is ready for muddy, bumpy, uneven terrain and that the 4WD is locked.
Baja: A cluster that uses orange highlights to show the vehicle through a desert landscape.
Rock Creep: Optimized for aggressive low-speed climbing maneuvers, where the cluster allows the Bronco Raptor to crawl slowly over rocks.
