2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe gains factory 2-inch lift kit and an at-home charger

The 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe enters the Jeep world just like any other Wrangler, with a boatload of Jeep-supported accessories to put on it. That’s the beauty of the 4xe. You get the convenience of a handy 35 miles on electricity, but it’s still a Wrangler, so you get the benefits that come with it.

The big news from Jeep that we can share with us today is in the form of a lift kit. A new Jeep Performance Parts lift kit is available specially designed for the 4xe. It increases the Wrangler’s ride height by 2 inches – Jeep markets it as the first lift kit for a PHEV. Subaru could claim the Crosstrek Hybrid was the first to feature the factory-backed Crawford Performance lift, although it’s a rather pointless claim.

The Jeep kit includes FOX shocks, new springs, new front lower wishbones, specific front and rear stabilizer links, new front and rear bump stops, all the mounting hardware you need plus a JPP badge. It’s a great package for just a 2-inch lift, and it all arrives in a chic JPP-branded wooden box. All of the above will cost you $ 1,495. Jeep states that all parts are tuned and designed specifically for the 4xe – we assume this means they have revised some specifications to better handle the extra weight of the 4xe of the electrical components.

In addition to the lift kit, Jeep also announced the availability and price of a Mopar and Jeep branded 240-volt home charger. You can choose between a “plug-in” version or a “hardwired” version. Both add electric range to your 4xe at about 23.5 miles per hour on the charger. You can find one of them in the Mopar eStore. The plug-in costs $ 621.50 and the wired charger is $ 647.90.

Apart from these parts, the JPP catalog is wide open for this Wrangler as it is for any other. Both the lift kit and chargers are available now, so you can customize all of your new plug-in hybrid Jeep and spend more.
