2018 SEMA Show to play host to five different modified Ford Mustangs

Posted on

Ford is bringing a number of modified Mustangs to the 2018 SEMA Show, five in total. All are confused by a tuner, so each has a different twist on it. The show floor will have Mustangs from Bojix Design, CGS Motorsports, Galpin Auto Sports, CJ Pony Parts and TJIN Edition. All versions except the TJIN version use a Mustang GT with the 5.0-liter V8 as a starting point – the TJIN edition decided to modify the 2.3-liter EcoBoost model.

You see a pattern for all these Mustangs: they all use the Ford Performance catalog of parts to improve performance. This car gets the shock absorbers, springs and stabilizer bars of Ford Performance for better handling. In addition, extra power and noise comes from a Procharger Stage 2 charger, Bojix Design exhaust and Borla silencers. Bringing to a halt are renewed Brembo rotors and calipers. The exterior has also changed a lot. There is a gigantic APR wing and splitter at the front, along with some tilting panels and a special paint job.

CGS focused on power and exterior design with this build. He gets a Ford Performance / Roush supercharger and a Ford Performance catback exhaust with carbon fiber ends. Large Brembo brakes are mounted and an adjusted spray is performed by Flying Iron Designs.

More Ford Performance is part of the game of this Mustang. This time we get the supercharger, catback exhaust, short-throw shifter, drive shaft and half-axles, all from Ford Performance. What's cool here is the Shelby GT350R calipers – we know it's great braking. A complete widebody kit with aero bits completes the menacing black and purple look.

This Mustang gets a few more neat parts than others, since the tuner decided to change it for drifting. It starts with the lowering of the springs and the upgrade of the UPR rear suspension. If you add the Ford Performance supercharger, catback exhaust and short-throw shifter, you'll get on the road faster. In addition, he gets a Sikky Manufacturing hydraulic handbrake to fulfill all your drifting desires. The drift rod gets a roll cage and Recaro seats. And a widebody set with a splitter, spoiler and golden HRE wheels give him the full look of the drivet car he needs.

TJIN wanted to make the Mustang with the most style during the SEMA show. Customized bodywork and lighting distinguish him in the crowd. It is a controversial look and the camber seems a bit too much of what we can see. This turbocharger rod receives an air suspension by Air-Lift 3H to get it so low. A Borg-Warner turbocharger, catback exhaust, Ford Performance short-shifter and Baer Grizzlie brakes combine all to improve performance. This is certainly intended for more looks than for track riding like some of the V8 tuner Mustangs.
