We named the reborn 2019 Chevy Blazer "the Camaro of crossovers" when it was first introduced. But before the Blazer was a sleek, sporty, car-based crossover, it was a big, sturdy, truck-based SUV. And the Blazer from 1971 edited by the Ringbrothers crew is one of the most beautiful examples we have ever seen.
Ringbrothers & Jim & Mike Ring reworked the classic open-top & # 39; ute with a restrained one-inch body-lift, with the suspension front and rear except for shocks and swaying bars of Ride Tech. The wheel pits were opened and filled with custom 17-inch wheels from Circle Racing Wheels that were designed for a vintage look. A set of BFG All Terrain T / A tires complete the rolling stock.
Under the bonnet is a LS3 coffin engine from General Motors. The fuel injection grinder is powered by a Holly Dominator engine controller and fuel system and the engine's 430 hp engine is sent to all four wheels via a Bowler-modified 4L60-E transmission. An exhaust system of the Flowmaster comes out behind the rear wheels under the rear bumper.
A bikini top and roll bar were added as a nod to usability, and part of the body was smoothed out before the whole thing was painted in a beautiful silver-colored cribbed from Mercedes-Benz called Brazilian Smoke. The interior is in brown leather and an adjusted dashboard with gauges from Dakota Digital and a complete audio system from Kicker.
This is the kind of structure that keeps the original intention of the vehicle intact, with exactly enough custom details to keep enthusiasts interested, but not so much that the purists will protest. Convince yourself in the image gallery above.
