Jon Olsson unveils Mercedes-Benz G-Class 4×4 Squared safari

After letting his followers choose which supercar to buy, Jon Olsson returned to his trusted Mercedes-Benz G-Class 4×4 Squared to make another change. This time he gave the G-Wagon a safari look with a new black soft top.

Last year Olsson took matters into his own hands when he realized that his very long 4×4 could not fit in his garage or public parking garages. So, like any sober person who solves problems, he eliminated the problem by cutting off the top.

After building a Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet from a backyard fitter, Olsson has never created a new top of any kind. It was open air or nothing, which led to new problems, such as dealing with unpredictable weather. This prompted Olsson to change the car again, creating a versatile top that still fitted the required parking locations.

The result is the ride you see here, a matte, satin white brute. The top is black, with roll-up plastic windows, and it is said to be put down in a few minutes.

As part of the makeover, the G-Class also received white interior accents and completely new seats at the front and rear. Olsson was previously in an uncomfortable position to look under the adjusted windshield line, so the seats were swapped for a lower and more comfortable arrangement.
