2019 Roush Ford F-150 Raptor gets new bodywork, more power

Famous Ford tuner Roush has unveiled its latest modified truck, the 2019 Roush Raptor. It builds on old Roush-modified Ford F-150 Raptors by adding a new "Chase Rack" sports racket in the bed. The bar adds a bit more Baja-inspired design to the truck and also provides a convenient location for mounting optional Rigid Industries LED lamps.

But the big attraction is not yet available. Roush will soon offer the truck with an optional "Performance Pac" with a cold air intake, a full 3-inch exhaust system and ECU tuning. Together Roush says that these components will increase the power of 450 to 522 horses and a torque of 510 to 565 pound-feet. A release date and price for this upgrade package has not yet been released.

In the meantime, all Roush Raptors will do with a rear wheel outlet for a more aggressive sound, combined with a five-inch outlet for a tough appearance. Roush also adds his own 20-inch wheels with heel protection, wrapped in 35-inch all terrain tires. Noise stickers adorn the exterior and additional side stickers can be added for additional costs. Inside, the chairs get their own embroidery and a serial number badge has been added.

A component that is missing in the package is a set of Roush-specific Fox 3.0 off-road shocks. This was an important part of the past Roush Raptors. We contacted Roush to find out what has changed, but we have not received a response before we publish it. We will update this when we hear back, but we can bet that the shocks have fallen because the 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor has electronically adjustable shocks from the factory that are attached to the truck's different computers. So removing them in favor of different shocks can cause warnings and other problems that Roush did not want to deal with.

If the Roush Raptor package seems attractive to you, you have to spend an extra $ 13,000 on top of the price of your desired Raptor. Other features, such as off-road lighting, extra stickers and an upgrade of the upcoming performance, will incur extra costs.
