SVE Unveils 1000-HP 2019 Yenko/SC Camaro With Fresh Face

As Chevrolet will make a new nose and color for the 2019 Camaro at SEMA, Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE) wasted no time and announced its own high-quality packages for the updated car. The most important among them is the Yenko / SC Stage II Camaro from 2019 that debuts with 1000 hp, a new face and many badges.

However, there are actually two SVE options, both of which are limited to 25 units. The Stage I has only 835 hp, while the Stage II gets the full 1000 hp. This formula is not new for SVE, because the 2018 model was offered with 825 or 1000 hp.

Focusing on the high-output model, which is based on the SS with the 1LE add-ons, the Yenko / SC package has a custom 416-cubic-inch LT1 V8 with an aluminum block that delivers 875 pound-foot torque. It has a forged steel crankshaft and H-beam bars, forged aluminum pistons, CNC ported cylinder heads and an improved fuel system. The Yenko also has an upgraded walk-out system with customized headers, high-flow catalysts and a tailor-made stainless steel exhaust. A tailor-made supercharger increases power to levels that are not available in a Camaro factory. The Yenko is wrapped in old, thick five-spoke wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires.

Excluding the carbon fiber hood with the shovel and rear deck spoiler, there is no question of further weight reduction or upgrades to the aero, brakes, cooling or suspension. However, the 1LE stock comes with magnetic drive control, an electronic limited slip differential, a performance suspension and enhanced cooling.

The rest of the offer is usually visual. The Camaro has Yenko badges wherever you look, and has a sYc graphic, a hood and side stripes. It has brand mats, sills and calipers and the headrests are embroidered. Countless pieces such as the blower cover are also customizable.

Although this is technically not a factory car, the packages are ordered from General Motors dealers and are delivered with warranties of 3 years / 36,000 miles. The 835-horspeower package has a price of $ 46,995, while the model with 1000 hp costs $ 66,995 extra. Let's repeat again that the prices on top of the new Camaro SS1LE 201LE that you have to buy start at $ 44,995. Do the math and you could shoot $ 113,990 for a Camaro.

Now, for traditionalists who mock the idea of a new Yenko, there is always the brand new Muscle Car Company. Earlier this year, the Oklahoma outfit announced that it would build the new, officially licensed Yenkos from 1968. It is a great time for pony people.
