For this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon, Nissan is bringing a variety of vehicles to showcase, but perhaps the most impressive are these motorhomes. They are based on the NV350 Caravan and they hide some really incredible looking living quarters.

The most impressive is the Mountain Base concept, shown at the top. It’s hard to miss thanks to the imitation wood trim along the sides. Closer inspection reveals that the parts that don’t have wood grain vinyl are coated in some sort of truck bed liner. The front has some sort of integrated grille and headlight guard. The roof is adorned with an off-road light bar and a giant solar panel that can be raised, tilted and rotated to get into the optimal position. The side windows have also been replaced in favor of more solar panels. Fender flares enclose a sturdy off-road wheel and tire combination.

However, the interior is the big draw. A large sofa and countertop with screens fill the bulk, with all surfaces covered in wood panelling. And all those surfaces are supported by an intricate, skeletal structure. Lighting has been installed inside and around these spaces, creating a modern and stylish environment. Adding a warm atmosphere is a TV screen used as a virtual fireplace.

While not as noticeable from the outside, the Caravan Myroom concept is still very impressive. The exterior is virtually unchanged, except for a modified brown and white color scheme and black painted steel wheels.

However, the interior is perfect for high-style camping. It is full of modern looking furniture such as light wood finish cabinets and shelves. The windows have stylish slats and the folding bed is covered with beautiful gray and brown fabrics. There is extra storage space under the bed and there is a sofa for lounging.
